Broker's Comments

Hunter 27s have a popular reputation as comfortable cruiser / racers. These boats have seaworthy characteristics and good sailing performance, partly due to the Hunter 'twin fin' keel design. The twin keels also provide wider sailing opportunities, for a boat capable of drying-out, cruising rivers and estuaries, but also able to make extended coastal passages.

This version has been well maintained throughout its ownership, not least the recent investment in re-engining the boat and the high standard of the sail wardrobe, which has helped this boat become a very successful club racer. The running rigging is led aft and well thought through, being manageable for single handed and family sailors alike. The boat is tidy, with accommodation that is comfortable to use both at sea and in port and there has been consistent investment in upkeep.

When I visited the boat I was struck by its great potential for good sailing performance, a reliable engine and spacious, comfortable accommodation. This boat would be suitable for a range of uses, from club racing to exploring shoal waters and longer passage making. With many uses and positive features, this boat has lots to offer singlehanded and group sailors alike..
