Broker's Comments

PLEASE NOTE THE MOORING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE.

Boatshed London are pleased to bring to market this 22m Dutch Barge Luxemotor which has just been surveyed and ready for a new owner.

She has original accommodation at the stern. The wheelhouse is forward of this cabin and the engine room lies beneath the wheelhouse.

She was built in 1922, probably in Utrecht. It appears she was a working vessel, until at least the 1980s. The barge was purchased by the current owner in 1997 and brought to the UK. She underwent a major refit of the accommodation in the early 2000s.

The hold has been converted to accommodation and includes a forward cabin, toilet compartment, galley and saloon. There is a forepeak forward of the accommodation.

As you can see from the photo's, the barge is stunning inside and out and has been fitted out to a very high standard by experienced boaters with a keen eye for detail. She features everything you would need to be either based on a mooring, or out cruising.

Entering through the beautiful period wheelhouse you will first notice the lovely stern cabin, as you walk down the steps into the main saloon/galley you will see how much headroom and natural light there is available inside. The saloon seating area has a Morso squirrel stove fitted for those cosy evenings in. Electric heating is also available and she benefits from air conditioning for the balmy Summer months.

The ample sized galley comprises all the modern conveniences for a liveaboard boater, including washing machine, fridge freezer, hob and oven.

Walking through the galley you will enter the master bedroom situated towards the bow, again ample natural light, space and storage with a large double bed. Situated in this room is the ensuite bathroom comprising of a shower, basin and toilet.

Through the master bedroom there is another smaller, but definitely not small, bedroom in the bow with plenty of extra storage space.

Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
