We are pleased to announce that Peggy Melmoth has recently joined the Boatshed Essex team. Peggy will be writing our blogs and handling some of our social media networking on Twitter and Facebook.

Peggy is a business blogger who already writes for other boating businesses such as Boatshed Grand Union. She has also written for Towpath Talk, Waterways World and Waterscape. She writes a personal blog called The Real Life of a Narrowboat Wife and a business blog at www.peggymelmoth.wordpress.com

Peggy works from home and has lived aboard a narrowboat for eleven years. She shares a beautiful 70 foot trad narrowboat (purchased through Boatshed Grand Union) with her husband and two young daughters on the Grand Union Canal. She is originally from the coastal port of Plymouth. Her father is a Merchant Navy ship’s captain and her in-laws are keen river and coastal boaters. Their boat is a Princess 25" which was built in 1979 by the Plymouth company Marine Projects.

Peggy is really looking forward to working with Steve and Catherine and raising the online profile of Boatshed Essex. ‘Like’ us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to receive blog updates, and regular news such as new listings, featured boats, boats under offer, and boats recently reduced.

If you have a boating or sailing story to tell contact us: we’d be happy to share it on our blog.
