3 Ways to Afford a Boat That You Love
I’m sure summer is on the way now, and there are loads of ways to get boating locally this weekend, in fact some events are free!
This weekend is the Fambridge Yacht Haven open day. On Saturday 17th May you can join us for marine demonstrations, children's and adult dinghy sailing, and free life jacket and sea safety inspections.
Meet the South Woodham Ferrers Coast Guard and see their new rescue kit and vehicles together with the Burnham on Crouch RNLI crew. Depending on tides, there will hopefully be joint demonstrations to watch!
BBQ and delicious food will be available at the newly refurbished Club House.
Then on Sunday 18th Stubbers Young Mariners Sailing Club in Upminster are holding a free event for adults and children to experience a taster sail with their members and instructors.
If you’re looking for your ideal boat at an affordable price we have three more here that have been reduced. Click on the headlines to see a full spec and a slideshow of images for each boat.
Loveable Hunter Legend 30-2 now £29,750
This Hunter Legend 30-2 (pictured) should not be confused with the earlier 30 model; this is a much more modern boat. They are a stylish modern cruiser and this one is particularly well presented.
A lot of upgrading had been completed over the last year or two. The owner had planned on keeping the boat long term, hence the expensive upgrades, but circumstances have changed and there is a genuine reason for now selling.
Beautiful Beneteau First 28 now £12,995
This Beneteau First 28 is a very nice example; it has clearly been looked after by the owners. Our broker Steve says, “They offer good sailing performance as well as being stable sea worthy cruisers suitable for family cruising. They have a good sized cockpit with lines led aft for ease of handling; and inside there's plenty of space suitable for sleeping up to 6 people.”
We have over 40 photos of this boat so click the link above to see the full details.
The Carter 30 has an excellent reputation for sea-keeping in all weathers coupled with good sailing performance. This yacht had a new diesel engine and sail drive professionally fitted in 2009. The engine completed little over 300 hours. New teak cockpit seating and locker lids have been fitted in 2013 - take a look at the photographs it looks great!
