This week our boats reduced in price include a Vancouver, MG C 27 and a Fairline Targa. As with all Boatshed boats we have an extensive slideshow of images for each boat for sale, so that you can really examine the boat inside and out.

Vancouver 274 now £29,995

The Vancouver 274 is a top quality heavy displacement long keel cruiser and this one is an excellent example, in good condition and well maintained. There have been a number of recent additions to the inventory including a new Eberspacher Heater and new Lewmar Self-tailing Winches.

The accommodation sleeps 4 with a V-berth/double forward and two single berths with lee cloths in the saloon. The heads is in a separate compartment and includes a hand basin. Opposite the heads is a good sized hanging locker. The L-shaped galley is well equipped and opposite to starboard the chart table is as you would expect suitably sized and facing forward; a fridge/cool-box is located under the chart table seat.

The MGC 27 is a fast cruiser with a great reputation for sailing performance as well as ease of handling. They were originally sold as Contessa 27’s but when MG purchased the moulds from Jeremy Rodgers in the mid 80's they renamed it the MGC27. Northshore later took over MG Yachts and were the builders of this particular boat.

Our broker Steve says, “This one has been upgraded in recent years with new sails a stack pack and in 2012 new upholstery; it looks good both inside and out.”

Fairline Targa 34 now £119,995

Fairline quality is evident as soon as you step on board into the generously sized two level cockpit. The interior also exudes quality the saloon and galley area is stylish as well as being well equipped. There are two good sized cabins the forward double cabin has en-suite access to the heads. The aft cabin has two large single berths plus a hand basin and seating. The saloon will convert to another double when required allowing the boat to sleep 6 when required.

The standard specification of the Targa 34 with its powerful twin diesels giving a top speed of close to 40knots is impressive and the bow thruster makes handling in close quarters easy. The engine hours are just 435 hours use from new.

Steve went to photograph the boat. He says, “This one is a particularly nice example not only does it look in fantastic condition the specification is second to none. Only last year the instrumentation was upgraded to the new Raymarine e7 Touch Screen range.

The e7 Multifunction Hybrid Touch Display sets a whole new standard in easy to use yet very sophisticated marine electronics; switching between all the functions is fast and so easy. It has a huge array of functions including: Radar, Chart Plotter, Fishfinder, Video and Data Display.

It has Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity; The owner used his iPad to plan a trip and then goes on board and the e7 units interfaces and uses the data and iPad can be used as a live interface displaying the same data.”

Appointments to view any of these boats can be booked in advance 6 days a week directly with the Boatshed Essex office.
