Broker's Comments
This unique vessel is a traditionally designed, 20ft (6m) sea going (high bow) Motor Harbour launch/ferry/fishing boat, equally suited to pleasure trips boat. Built of mahogany, with a clinker hull and oak cappings, the boat has had a recent Hull inspection and repaint buy a traditional Broads boat builder. The cappings and seats have been re-varnished and the internal floor re-painted. The boat is highly manoeuvrable, turning in it's own length, accelerating to a good speed and stopping as quickly. With the high bow she is at home on the sea, as on the Inland waterways and so ideal for a variety of uses, including exploring coastlines, estuaries, lakes, rivers and wide canals.
In 2019 she completed a charity boat trip the length of the River Thames, from Southend Pier to Lechlade (180 miles). Then in Sept 2019 she completed a tour of the Norfolk Broads, north and south and is now ready for the next adventure.
The engine is a 30 hp sea going Beta, is 6 yrs old and has only completed 200 hrs and been regularly serviced, professionally. A stern gland greaser and glass fuel sediment bowl are also fitted.
There is a Clipper depth gauge fitted, two automatic electric and one manual bilge pump. In addition there are navigation lights, a horn and 2 x auxillary 12v power points for charging today’s technology. Also a sea going anchor with 6m chain and 30m of rope 2 x life rings each with 20m of floating, yellow rope, inshore flares and a first aid kit and compass, (sorry no ships bell). 5 quality mooring ropes are also included. To do this years trips, she is fully compliant with an Inland waterways safety certificate until 2022 and compliant with regulations for the Port of London Authority for the tidal Thames and the Environment agency for the Non-tidal Thames.
The owner has offered to deliver the boat for free within the UK. There is also a trailer, possibly available if required to purchase (Indespension Big Dipper 3).
