#Essex boat jumble
This weekend on Sunday 1st September the little village of Battlesbridge on the River Crouch welcomes the annual Essex Boat Jumble and Small Boat Sale. If you’ve never been to one imagine a jumble sale, but full of boating bargains! From 10:00 am onwards visitors to Battlesbridge Antiques and Craft Centre can begin browsing thousands of boating bargains, new and used boat parts, nautical antiques, small boats and chandlery.
As well as this weekend’s boat jumble the Antiques and Craft Centre is home to over 80 dealers housed in a variety of old buildings and courtyards. They are just off the A130 on the banks of the Crouch, midway between Chelmsford and Southend. Their Motorcycle Museum is also open on Sundays and the showground hosts several other events throughout the year. It sounds like a good day out with something for everyone.
The Boat Jumble opening hours are from 10:00am until about 3:00pm. Refreshments and toilet facilities are provided. Admission is £4.00, children go free and car parking is also free.
