Broker's Comments
This 1975 Powles 41 motor cruiser is a lovely vessel and presents itself very well despite its age. It has been with the current owner for 3 years during which time they used her as a liveaboard (also during lockdown) but as you will read in the survey, (a copy is available) she is presents well. With three separate cabins, a large saloon and large aft deck, this 41ft vessel would serve as a great platform for extended cruising, liveaboard life, holidays and long weekends away.
Equipped with two Volvo engines totalling 500hp, she is sufficiently powered to achieve a maximum speed of 25kts, but will happily cruise along all day at 18kts. The current owners have used her extensively and as such she has been looked after to ensure everything works. The engines have also been looked after including having 2 new heat exchangers fitted.
In addition to engine management the boat also benefits from the following works and upgrades all carried out in July 2020:
- New bilge pumps
- New toilet pumps
- New depth transducer
- New seacocks
- New key on starboard prop
- New VHF DSC Radio
- New Calorifier
- New SIMRAD GPS
- New Fridge
The boat was antifouled and anodes replaced 2 years ago however, was only in the water for 6 months and then lifted out and stored ashore. Internally she is clean, tidy and offers plenty of space. The galley is spacious and fully equipped. Apart from the usual dirt and debris that can build up over time she simply needs a good clean and polish.
