Broker's Comments

With a hull based on the ever succesful Westerly Centaur, the Renown was built as a larger cruising platform, still built to Lloyds standards and with a good reputation for sailing characterisitics. The ketch rig provides for easier sail handling when short handed and of course balancing the boat under sail. The aft cabin provides additional private cabin space and pushes the cockpit forward, arguably providing a more comfortable ride at sea. The side decks and foredeck are comfortable for working the boat and below there is good headroom, galley, saloon and heads space. There is also a large hanging locker to starboard, forward and a roomy forecabin.

This version is part way through a refit, which the owner is now unable to complete. The boat would benefit from some general cleaning and tidying, alongwith some refit work within the main accommodation and the boat has therefore been priced to sell accordingly. This boat therefore represents a great opportunity to acquire a sizeable sailing platform, with a good pedigree and potential.
